Access to the Doctors’ Surgery, Community Centre and the section of Bailey Hill highlighted in the Google Maps image below will be maintained for the duration of the scheme. Vehicles will be able to reach these locations via either Lydney Road or Slade Road, and these junctions will remain open specifically to facilitate access to the surgery and community facilities.
The remainder of the scheme extents will operate under the usual road closure arrangements during working hours, and vehicular access through the works area will be restricted while activities are taking place. However, the access routes identified above will be retained to ensure that patients, visitors and staff can continue to reach the surgery and community centre.
As previously advised, Lydney Road and Slade Road will themselves be closed on Saturday 17 October to allow patching works to be carried out at the junction mouths and along Bailey Hill. On that day, access arrangements will be affected while these works are undertaken.
