Retirement Message – Dr Michelle Hayes

Dear Patients of Yorkley and Bream,

It is with great sadness that I am announcing my retirement due to ill health reasons.

It has been an absolute privilege be your GP for the last 23 years, you have trusted and welcomed me and I have felt a part of this very special community, and enjoyed a rewarding and fulfilling career being part of your lives.

Obviously, I’d hoped to continue my career for many years to come but unfortunately my health will not permit this and I must now look after myself.

I will miss you all very much but am comforted that I leave behind a practice with wonderful colleagues who will continue to provide excellent care to you all, even with the challenges of the modern NHS, and I am very proud to have been part of this legacy.

With warmest regards,

Dr Michelle Hayes

Training and research practice

Training

We are a training practice and this means that we may have a GP registrar or a GP returning to NHS work providing additional surgeries.

Our practice also provides training for medical students. If a student doctor is in attendance in a surgery, you will be advised by the receptionist and you can request to be seen by your doctor alone.

Research

From time to time the practice may ask patients if they would like to be involved in a particular research project.

Any such projects have full ethical approval, and would only involve patients who had given their full consent.
